Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (L / 2760) dated 11/11 / 1439, which referred to the letter of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (7792 / p) dated (5/11/1439), which includes the Authority's initiative within the National Transition Program 2020 to launch the legal calibration in the Kingdom since legal calibration is a supervisory activity. It focuses on the application of technical legislation to the measuring instruments that are used in commercial operations such as scales and fuel pumps.
Whereas, on 24/9/1439 H, the Authority published the Executive Regulations for the Measurement and Calibration System and the List of Costs of Measurement and Calibration Services in Umm Al-Qura Newspaper. It also published the technical accessories for commercial scales and fuel pumps on its website on (27/9/1439 AH).
The Authority hopes that manufacturers, importers and users of commercial scales, fuel pumps and related facilities to abide by these regulations and technical specifications and to start working on the application of their requirements. These regulations and their technical specifications can be found through the Authority's website.
